Dr. Julie Philley, MD

I have been under Dr. Philley's care since 2013. After being misdiagnosed by multiple doctors for years, I was very fortunate to be referred to her and the UT Health Science Clinic in Tyler. Dr. Philley is highly educated, experienced, collaborative and well-regarded in her field. Dr. Philley is always very clear about your diagnosis, your treatment plan and the potential outcomes. She encourages questions and spends a lot of time with me. What I like most about Dr. Philley is her warmth and compassion. She has the best "bedside manner". I was very ill when I first met Dr. Philley and she cured me. I now live a very normal life and it is all thanks to her and her amazing staff, particularly her nurse Tracy.

One of the wisest doctors I have ever seen. Would recommend her to anyone with lung issues.

I was seen by Dr. Philley after a horrible experience with a Infectious Disease doctor who was treating me for MAC. She immediately gave me hope and finally she explained everything about my diagnosis. She was upbeat and so encouraging. She was the only doctor to ever treat every symptom I had including the extreme tiredness that comes from having a MAC infection.

Last May I was admitted to Mother France's Hospital, via life flight, for a ruptured hernia. I was unconscious the entire time. According to family, one doctor didn't give me hope. Until I was seen by Dr. Philley. Dr. Philley did everything possible for me, including placing me in a medically induced coma. Where I remained for three weeks, until I awoke and my loved ones with me! This surprised them all! I never remembered Dr. Philley unti my friend, Floyd, told me she (Dr.Philley) was the reason that I was alive! I just wanted to thank her for the life she gave back to me and that she will always be in my thoughts and prayers!

The first Dr. I found who knows what MAC is and didn't tell me "just live with it"

I have been a patient at this clinic for at least 10 years. Today was my first appointment with Dr. Philley and she fell very short in comparison to others there. She spent her time reviewing a CT scan that I had seen many times and for the first time ever, my lungs being the problem, she did not listen to them. My regular doctor was on leave but I will not see Dr. Philley again.

DR is very knowledgeable about my diagnosis and reassured me she would take care of me. I am an RN and she was very up front as to what might could be done. She did call me back to inform me about an update. She is wonderful. I am very comfortable in her care and that is saying something. I have high expectations
