Julie Snyder, Psy D

Dr. Julie Snyder, PsyD, is Director of the GI Psychology Service in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in pediatric psychology and gastrointestinal behavioral health, with expertise in functional abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), rumination syndrome, encopresis, enuresis, and disorders of gut-brain interaction in children and adolescents. Dr. Snyder earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is widely recognized for her multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to helping children manage chronic gastrointestinal symptoms through behavioral and psychological interventions that improve coping, quality of life, and long-term health outcomes.
