Dr. Julie K Thomas, MD

I was Dr Thomas's patient in Reno before she moved to Utah. I was a very rough case! And I surprised her and all my Dr's with my recovery. I was diagnosed in 2014 and was in remission in 2019. I credit Dr Thomas with my survival. I'm thriving today with no sign of my disease. I'm eternally grateful.

I have been seeing Dr. Thomas close to 3 1/2 yes now. I was referred by the Dr in carson when she had to closes due to family issues.Getting my first appt was no problem, but going in the office was. Dr. Thomas was fantastic and still is. The office staff was rude and u professional. I use to Work in a dr office so 8knowhow the staff should act. The second time I came INI was treated bad again and told Dr Thomas about it. I told her if I hadn't been put on disability due to RA, OA and Fibromyalgia I would train them the way they should already be acting. The next. visit I saw Different People dr thomas said she would talk to her partners. I don't appreciate being left standing in front of the pt window being ignored especially when I'm in pain. Dr. Thomas goes the extra mile to find the right medications for me. When my liver tests kept coming back abnormal she didn't rest until she personnaly called the GI error consult and appt. I was called by dr. Thomas herself withe the info.… She goes the extra mile and does what ever is needed to help her pts. I've talked to a lot of other pts in the office and they agree. I was DX with RA at age 13 and currently 52yrs old, I have pain every day and Dr. Thomas is keeping me moving. I really appreciate everything she does for me, and the fact she calls me immediately after getting the results from my blood tests. Give her a chance and let her know if the office staffs is less then Professional. (She wants to know)). I hope she never quits also, congrats on HDR new baby daughter.

dr Thomas is the most caring, compassionate physicians I have ever seen .She she doesn't rest until she knows exactly what your problems are and the best way to treat them. She has kept me on my feet and going strong even with my numerous problems.

Dr Thomas is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had. She is willing ti spend the necessary time with you and follows through. I wish her office staff were that good. I am left on hold for 10 to 15 minutes each time I call. Her assistance never does what she says she will do. I have to call 4 x to get her to phone in an rx. She says she has done it, but the pharmacy says no. Really gets old. Wish Dr Thomas would get rid of them all and start with a new staff. She deserves better (and so do I!).

My mom started going to Dr. Thomas a litttle over a year ago. She had been seeing a woman doctor in Carson City who was absolutely NO help at all and could never properly diagnose my mom. I'm happy to say that this doctor did properly diagnose my mom, and she finally is pretty much pain free. She is not easy to get in to. It does take time to get an appointment with this office and doctor, so be patient.

Dr. Thomas took time with my son, she asked the right questions, she did not rush so when something else came to her mind she was still with him to ask. She gave him great information and never pushed her treatment but gave him the options with information and let him decide. She is wonderful!

I have been going to see Dr. Thomas for a year and a half now after my previous doctor left her practice in Carson City.I was in bad shape when I came in and in a lot of pain. Although our doctors tell us there is no cure for RA, Dr. Julie has managed to get me back on the right track. I almost feel as good as that golfer on TV. Just kidding. Seriously, Dr. Thomas is a real pro and a nice person who really cares about her patients. She will do anything to help you.

Began going to her (referral from my primary physician) summer 2010. She has been great. Calls me with test results.Haven't needed bedside care, but if I did need bedside care I'm sure it would be excellent. She takes her time and really listens. When I have an office visit the next appt. is scheduled before I leave. Also always get reminder call for next appt. She really cares about her patients

Dr. Thomas really cares about her pts. And doesn't try to push them out the door. She has a heart of gold. Always calls about my labs and if there is a problem with a result she calls another dr. Regarding the problem so she know how to treat her pt. I have already referred 5 people to her. I pray she never quits.

I was referred to Dr. Thomas by my primary care physician over a month ago. I've called for an appointment at least four times and no one will return my call. My pcp's referral specialist has called them as well, and they don't return he calls either. I wish I knew if Dr. Thomas is a good doctor, but I don't because her staff is so unresponsive I can't get in to see her. The last time I called I told them that I'm dealing with quite a bit of pain and really need to see the doctor, still nothing. At this point, I'm working on getting a referral to another rheumatologist. I hope Dr. Thomas looks at these reviews because she needs to understand that her staff is a detriment to her practice. I'm sure she's well meaning. This review is not to criticize the doctor, but only her staff.
