Dr. Julie A Veerman

Throughout her professional and academic career, Dr. Veerman has worked in virtually every capacity inside a dental office—from apprentice to lab assistant to receptionist to hygienist to doctor.  She makes every individual patient’s care her highest priority and her belief is that dental professionals can do—in fact, should do—more to allay patients’ fears and enhance their comfort.  Her philosophy stems from the different perspectives gained in the various roles she has had in the field of dentistry, which has given her unique insight into the patient-provider relationship and how best to improve it. 
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Veerman loves the outdoors and spending time with her children, Jillian and Gavin, her beagle, Ringo, and husband, Scott.  She fishes and hikes in the summer, and snowshoes and skis in the winter.  She is a lifelong Alaskan.
