Dr. Julieanne Gibson Mcgregor, MD

I really had high hopes for Dr. McGregor when she and her partner started Integrative Medical Clinic. Her practice manager and the staff her practice manager hired provides care equivalent to a fair weather friend or an partner who just isn't that into you. The level of aloofness from the IMC staff and medical professionals makes me wonder why they're in the care giving business. I moved with Dr. McGregor from her previous practice because of her amazing spirit and what I thought was genuine concern for the health and well being of all people in NC including myself. She blindly trusts her practice manager which will be the downfall of this clinic and more recently this place has plummeted into that of an underfunded public health clinic. I really hadn't had health issues until recently and this clinic failed me in my time of need. Not an ounce of accountability was given when I spoke up about my disappointment. I noticed recently that this clinic no longer accepts Medicare/Medicaid. I… predict that they will start pushing out patients who have the State Health plan and other basic insurance policies for those that will pay full price out-of-pocket for mediocre medical care.

Dr. Julie McGregor seems knowledgeable and personable. However, her office is a hotbed of incompetence. If one needs anything from them, a good starting position is that it will not be done, and, unless you ask, you won't know about it. Her patients should simply try to get results by finding from her office who they claim to have contacted and contacting themselves. It appears that Dr. McGregor takes no responsibility for how her office is run. I've complained in detail and the situation remains. Caveat Emptor.

Dr. McGregor and Dr. Will Pendergraft may well be good doctors: unfortunately, their office is so poorly run that nothing happens as it should, and Dr. McGregor hides behind her staff, abdicating her reponsibilities. After spending two weeks waiting for a medication reply (and spending Christmas day in bed), I gave up on this practice, although I did make an appointment for a video visit with Dr. Pendergraft, hoping he might be more efficient: I sat at my computer waiting for him to appear at the assigned time, having followed all the directions for the call. He never appeared and I was accused of missing the appointment. That was it for me. This practice will never achieve excellence if they don't start working more responsibly to help their patients.

Wonderful, attentive and thoughtful doctor but dealing with her staff is infuriating. The staff are incompetent and not able to follow through on much at all. Takes weeks to get anything from them, is you every do! Work with the doctor but don't rely on her staff for anything! It's a shame, really, because Julie is a kind and thoughtful doc.

In my medically inexpert opinion, Dr. McGregor herself is both personable and capable. Her staff, on the other hand, seem inert. One cannot rely on E-mails being answered, on appointments with service providers being arranged and on provision of whatever information these providers need for the appointment to occur, and on any information on insurance coverage of the procedure. Instead, get contact information for whomever the office is to contact and contact them yourself, and call the doctor's office if anything is required of them to make sure it happens. Do not rely on them about information from others, for example, from insurers. I would give the doctor 4 or 5 stars on her performance, but 3 stars is more accurate, given her office. I'm still a patient, because of the doctor herself.

Love Dr Macgregor. She is amazing. Good luck getting her staff to return a call, relay a message or call in a refill. And they are very dishonest. They insist miscommunications are your fault, the doctors fault, or the pharmacy’s fault. Lazy and dishonest.

I love going to see Dr. McGregor, she is very compassionate and has great bedside manner. She thinks outside the box, when thinking of a solution to an issue. She always emails me back promptly if I having any questions or concerns

Dr doesn't return phone calls or emails or treat for illnesses found. Acts compassionate in person but hides behind administrative and nursing staff. Website says she wants to help people since she had a problem with one of her children, but the compassion she has dealt to our family misses the mark totally. Do not bother to schedule your appointment and look further to find a Dr who will live up to helping you with your illness.
