Dr Cardenas, I hope that your daughter never has an encounter like The one I had with you. You wouldn’t look up from the paperwork, didn’t ask me about my symptoms, and told me you had other patients and you had just squeezed me in so I should be grateful— to what? Come home with no guidance or answers feeling like my life is unimportant when I'm scared and suffering? It’s ok to not have the answer. It’s okay to have a bad day. But you have no bedside manner and according to all these reviews I’m not the only patient to experience this. I’m a strong woman, but you tore me down in that exam room and I didn’t deserve it. tried to get help. Maybe you should try to get help too.

Very rude and uncaring. Inflated ego? I would not send my enemies to see him. He refused to examine me or see the actual pictures I collected with dates, of many samples of stools. As a nurse in South America for several years I have experience in collecting samples of stools for parasites and he denied that what I showed him were worms. He had no interest to treat me or hear my traumatic story about multiple failed treatments. Has no bed side manners. "I see you as a favor to your physician" and I heard how he instructed the staff before hand that he was not going to do anything for me! " If you want medications I will not give you any! he said . Go to the university of Miami! I told him I was there and saw 2 different internist that based on lab reports sent me to a parasitologist! Then I found him! What a joke! I was very happy to see him because having lived in Peru I hoped he should have experience or knowledge of how to treat parasites. Now I continue with my problem and have no… where else to go. There is a blog of many people having the same experience with parasites after visiting the SA mountains and how the same medications have failed them. I was really hoping I found my hero. Guess I am left to empiric treatments since the medical system has failed us!

As a doctor it is ur job to treat and care for patients health based on their actual health not what u think of them. Also if u do not like them u should not treat them unless u can b professional. U treated my mother like scum and u did not review her medical information to treat her pain (such has her kidney stones, failing liver, UTI) instead u called her a narcotic seeker, she was far from that she hated taking pain medicine her whole life. She smiled through the pain in her eyes almost everyday! Thanks u to and the rest of the so called doctors whom u shared ur rumor with she is now deceased leaving behind a young son. I hope one day u can experience kidney stone pain and see if u opt for the meds!

With God's grace, a courageous and excellent surgeon, and Dr. Cardenas's talents, my life was saved! Forever, to the doctors I will be grateful!

Dr. Cardenas hurried through the visit, very arrogant about answering my questions. The brief office visit followed 90 minutes of wait time, dealing with a very nasty office staff who mixed up my appointment time, blamed me and when her mistake was found, did not apologize. The office manager was disrespectful and rude. Finally, the crowded office was overflowing with other patients who waited over an hour, as I did. I left feeling that I experienced an abusive team, who cared about making as much money as possible and caring very little for their patients' time and concerns. Never again.
