Dr Pita is very experienced Doctor in his field but money is all about and I said this because even though you have your appointment always you have to wait 3 o 4 Hours to see the doctor because they get in people with out insurance that pay cash. My experience on the first visit was like he was yelling at me telling that all my problems don’t have to be thyroid side effects if I was gain pound is because I don’t have a correct diet and because my age and if I loosing hair is also because my age so from his point of view I was there to see his plastic face and expend money. And the staff is rude nothing professional all the time yelling of course the boss si the same. In general bad experience at all. Today was my last visit and expend there 2:15. But this time I said very clear how unprofessional is every body there and I said directly to the doctor. My name is Barbara Rodriguez and like he said I have the right to look for another Doctor and of course I have the right an I will look… for another Doctor who respect and appreciate his patients

Terrible terrible office. Been going for 11 years. I called twice to confirm my insurance was still active and never heard back. Show up for my appointment and they proceed to tell me they no longer accept my insurance. When I asked if there was someone they could recommend they said I had to make a separate appointment to come back and review. Should have stopped coming years ago. Such a disappointment.

I went to one appointment, where he suggested I get an insulin pump and I told him I was hesitant because my closest friend in the world got one and died several weeks later (she wasn't even 40 years old) when it malfunctioned. He told me he didn't care what happened to my friend. It was unbelievable. His assistant or nurse stayed after he left the room to comfort me.

Been with him for over 20 years. The guy is the best, knows his stuff and hasn't failed me yet. The wait is long. He's only one man. If you are the type of person that thinks the world stops when you arrive this isn't the place for you. No matter how much money you make sit and wait. You will be seen.

Went to see Pita to get on better thyroid medication. He changed my brand and listened to everything I had to say at that initial consult and told me to return in 2 months for labs. I was very excited for the future and felt I was finally in front of an expert in the field. Fast forward 12 weeks, I went in for my lab results and have my medication tweaked accordingly. My results were ok, not optimal (which is what I was seeking) and my TSH read low. He told me my problems aren’t thyroid related at all and that I should be looking into a chronic fatigue specialist and a therapist if I still wasn’t feeling great. And said it’s all in my head and I’m making it up. And everything I’ve researched regarding thyroid is completely FALSE! He became very irate. I told him how much I’ve been suffering the last 4 years from this and his response was look at the degrees and plaques on my wall. 40 years experience I know what I am talking about! Instead of explaining my new treatment plan he… kicked me out of his office. My results came in 2 weeks before that meeting. No one called me to tell me my results, no one called my pharmacist to revise my medication. His office is flooded with people significantly older than me and each wait time is over 1 hour. If your looking to see him for basic thyroid issues totally pass on him. I truly believe he kicked me out because I’m simply not enough $$$ for him. He doesn’t want to just interpret resukta or even bother explaining the labs with you, he wants people who down the road need surgery.

Dr. Pita is a great knowledgeable doctor. However the office staff is the worst I have ever experienced. They are very unprofessional, have no phone etiquette, and really don't care much about the patient experience. As much as I love the Dr. I have decided to go to another specialist. Nothing is ever perfect but this office staff is too much to bear.

You have to wait months if you want to see this doctor. I finally saw his PA assistant who was nice, but he and the rest of his office treat you like you are an imposition on their time, They are rude, unresponsive, don't have time to listen to you and seem to be indifferent to your needs. He may be a good doctor but you are not given the time or attention to find out.

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL

Very disappointed patient here. When I first called to make the appointment as a new patient I had to wait 4 months, spent almost 5 hours during consultation and lab work done at the office the day of the appointment and the worst is the STAFF, very unprofessional with wrong attitude. Amazing how they talked and game me my lab results over the phone. I thought this was a nice professional office but I was wrong, the fact that this place is located in Coral Gables and the office looks decent and clean the staff is nasty so keep that in mind and be careful.

Doctor Pita is the greatest. He's been our doctor for many years. His bedside manner is fantastic. He is caring, smart and kind hearted. A+
