Dr. Julio A Ramos De Velasco, MD

I have been a pt. of Dr. Ramos for over 6 years and would not even consider becoming a pt. of another doctor, even though his office is quite a distance from my residence. As a medical professional, I have knowledge of many, many other physicians and Dr. Ramos is professional, thorough, has a detailed knowledge of his pts. and their physical diagnosis. Dr. Ramos also obtains a detailed "update" every appt. Again as a medical professional, I consider Dr. Ramos to be an excellent physician who also has a very good "bedside manner". He is always pleasant and engaging and appts. w/ him are actually very pleasant. Appts. are not "rushed" and Dr. Ramos is always willing to spend as much time as the pt. needs. Dr. Ramos is also bilingual which is an invaluable asset to those who speak Spanish.

This person never reviewed my blood work with me. I could clearly see on the patient portal that there were definite blood work concerns. While lupus was my main issue, cervical neck pain answer was to prescribe over 11 muscle spasm medications over the course of 10 years. I went to the Mayo clinic for help. They gave precise instructions as to what tests and procedures were needed. Prior to my going to the Mayo Clinic, Ramos said he would happily follow their advice. Upon my return visit, he never even looked at my records from other specialists!!!!!! He just kept saying that I didn't need any of what they ordered. I left there disheartened and disappointed. So.... I returned to Minnesota for the procedures and tests to be conducted. I came home feeling better and am still under their care.

after 12 years he quit on me because i was late for one appointment, he didnt even ask the reason, very rude and would not even give me final prescriptions until i found another dr. he had me on heavy narcotics that should never be stopped suddenly but he did not care at all.
