I would put zero stars if that was an option. I was brought to St. Francis Hospital directly from an inpatient eating disorder facility because I got covid and they would not allow me to stay. I was admitted and Dr Hong assessed me. He walked into the room and said “oh when I heard eating disorder I thought you’d be skinny and sick and you’re fine”. I came to this hospital simply because the eating disorder facility couldn’t keep me and I was too unstable to go home. He was extremely invalidating and rude and treated me like the tile floors he walked on. I had to discharge because he was so horrible and I felt unsafe there. So now I’m unable to go back to the treatment program which I need to save my life. And by any normal standard I am a very thin woman, I am not emaciated despite my debilitating eating disorder. I came there for care and I was traumatized. This man should not be allowed to practice.

I have been suffering with the same headache for over a month, so yes, I have learned to live with the pain. I also hate the way pain meds make me feel, therefore, I did not request any during my stay in the hospital. This does not mean my head is not pounding, Dr Hong, or there's "no reason for you to be here." That is a very rude thing to say to a patient. A doctor needs to understand that all patients handle pain differently. Dr Hong definitely needs to work on his bedside manner if he is going to continue to see patients.
