Dr. Jung Trong Dao, MD

Horrible attitude. He may or may not be great at other aspects of his profession, but his bedside manner is garbage. I recommend you find someone else.

I called Sue for my eye pain, she scheduled me in right away to see Dr Dao. He did surgery on my left eye to remove the calcium all in the same day !!!. I feel better now since he did it a month ago. I appreciate the work they did.

I had the distinct displeasure of visiting Dr.Dao in Prescott. He is without a shadow of a doubt the worst,most uncaring obnoxious,Dr on this planet. He didn't care how he treated me as a patient ,was VERY rude,opinionated,and didn't even care to understand my situation. I cannot imagine how this individual ever got a license to practice. I would avoid seeing him and travel anywhere to go elsewhere.

Truely cannot beleive how horribly I was treated by Doctor Dao at cornea consultants of AZ. I went in to be checked on an emergency I was having. He gave me absolutely no information before telling me he must scrap my cornea and it needed to happen right then and there. I'm terrified of doctors and terrified of problems with my eye because I have reoccuring corneal erosion and it is severe pain a few times a year. He then told me I thought you were a tough girl. I don't even know where he came up with that assumption I never said I was tough I just said I've been dealing with this pain for years and haven't been able to go to a doctor. Has nothing to do with being tough. He assured me I must get this procedure done and I will be 100% good to go after it is done. Turns out I am in agonizing pain for days to come. He prescribed me two drops he told me that it was urgent that I used the drops with a grey cap every 4 hours and the other drops work for pain. Days went by no relief. I called… every single day trying to talk the doctor and tell him how much pain I was in. When I finally go back for my follow-up he yells at me and tells me why did you not call me you should have come in you are getting an infection in your cornea. I did tell him I called 3 days in a row and they kept telling me to just wait for my appointment. He tells me there is no way that is possible. But the funny thing is they sent me a prescription for my eye for Comfort during this time so how is it not possible that I had contacted them numerous times telling them how much pain and discomfort I was in. Once I arrive for my follow-up he informs me that I have formed an infection in my cornea, why because of the procedure that he did and not giving me the correct antibiotics to take after. He then prescribe me more antibiotics and says he needs to see me back in 2 days. Today was that day I went into his office with my boyfriend on speaker phone in my purse so he could hear everything that was going on. I explain to the doctor that I was still in pain. He told me there is no way that I can be in pain. He did not give me an update on the status of my infection. He did not tell me what to do next. I asked him should I go to the emergency room. He then said I think you need to find a new opthamologist. And you can tell them I was going to prescribe you steroids for your eye and now I'm not going to. That is when I had to tell him what disrespectful human being he was and how I've never been treated this way by a medical professional. He then said no comment. And ran out of the office into his personal office and slammed his door. I highly suggest avoiding this Ophthalmology practice if at all possible. And if you must go there and never ever let them do a procedure on your eye.

WARNING!!!!! This was the worst doctor I have ever tried to see. It was so bad he yelled at me, made me cry, threatened me and I choose to get up and leave his office without treatment. I was referred to him by the ER department at Dignity Health while traveling on vacation. NEVER again will I see him and I hope to prevent this same horrible experience from happing to anyone else.

The office and Dr. DAO were great.

This office is the only one we've found in Arizona that does pediatric corneal work. We saw Dr. Dao for our son to perform a corneal transplant. His staff was extremely unresponsive and rude, taking a week to schedule the surgery with no explanation as to the delay. My wife was anxious about her son and called several times trying to get scheduling information, and finally asked why they weren't returning her calls. This question caused such distress in the scheduler that she apparently told Dr. Dao that my wife had threatened her. Dr. Dao called my wife personally 10 minutes later and told her (1) don't treat my staff that way or find another doctor, (2) you listen to what I have to say, then I'll listen to what you have to say, and (3) don't treat my staff that way or find another doctor. I'll reiterate that Dr. Dao and his colleague, in the same office, are the only cornea doctors in Arizona who do transplants on children. Given that, his ultimatum to my wife was tyrannical, petty,… and extremely unprofessional. We have since opted to go out of state to seek care for our son, since this office is the medical equivalent of the Motor Vehicle Department.

I went to dr. Jung win a foreign body sensation in my eye. He was dismissive and rude. He did not listen to any of my concerns and said "I'm a surgeon and I'm telling you there is nothing in your eye." I went to my optometrist less than 24 hours later. She looked and removed debris from my conjunctiva. I immediately felt better. Very poor bedside manner . Would not recommend to anyone.

It would seem that I saw a very different Dr. Dao than the one seen in the above reviews. I found him to be personable, efficient, spent all the time needed with me to diagnose the problem, examining me thouroughly. He ultimately performed a cornea transplant and cataract removal on my eye. Follow up has been prompt and informative. As I was already prepared for surgery when I saw him on the day of the procedure, there was no time for much interaction, but I was there to get my eye taken care of, not to have my ego massaged. All in all, I would say I had a very positive experience with Dr. Dao. I'm very glad and satisfied that I was not scared off by the two other reviews listed here.

Unsatisfied with time Dr. Dao took to explain and find out more info about situation. Very abrupt and dismissive when questions were asked. Felt rushed and not important enough to be given time to explain and examine what might be causing problem.
