Dr. Justin Baker

Dr. Justin Baker received both his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Throughout his education, he received numerous academic awards and scholarships. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training in the highly regarded Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology Program at The Ohio State University. 
 
In addition to rotations in plastic and reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, critical care, general surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, trauma surgery, and adult and pediatric anesthesia, he recently completed an extended rotation at St. James's Hospital in Dublin, Ireland where he participated in the treatment of patients in areas of maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery and head and neck oncology. Dr. Baker has also been a part of medical mission trips for the underserved in the Dominican Republic and Columbia, treating both dental disease and …cleft lip and palate. 
 
Throughout his education and career, Dr. Baker has actively participated in dental implant research and has published articles in journals such as Clinical Oral Implants Research, Journal of Dental Research, and Implant Dentistry. He is currently an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesia, Academy of Osseointegration, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Baker provides the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to his patients, including third molar extractions, dental implant surgery, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, pathology, trauma repair and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders. In order to provide the highest level of care to his patients, Dr. Baker maintains privileges at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, where he also covers maxillofacial trauma. 
 
Dr. Baker enjoys participating in the local medical and dental community and is actively involved in organized dentistry in and around Northern Virginia. Giving back to the community is important to Dr. Baker and to do so, he volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic providing oral surgery services to the less fortunate.
