Dr. Justin Emtage, MD

I met Dr. Justin Emtage at the Advent Health hospital in Winter Park. He performed a kidney stone removal procedure due to the size of the stone and it not being able to pass on its own. My personal experience with him and staff have been nothing but impeccable. He made me feel at ease with his knowledge, caring demener, and patience with a patient that was terrified of surgery and anesthesia, were squashed. I would recommend him to anyone with a urology situation...Truly the best! Thank you, Dr. Emtage

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with the surgical procedures performed by Dr. Emtage. After undergoing two major and one minor surgery to address a kidney stone issue, my experience has been overwhelmingly disappointing. My initial kidney stone, which measured 1.25 inches, prompted me to seek medical attention. However, after the surgeries, I was dismayed that I was left with only half of the original stone size. This outcome falls far short of the expected result, leaving me with ongoing discomfort and unresolved health concerns. Adding to my disappointment, the second surgery performed by Dr. Emtage yielded no results whatsoever. Despite the promise of medical intervention, I found myself in the same predicament as before, with no improvement in my condition. Furthermore, the lack of effective communication from the front office staff only compounded my frustration. Attempting to seek information, updates, or clarification about my condition has been an… exercise in futility. My calls went unanswered, and I was met with unresponsiveness and a lack of support during a time when I needed it the most. In conclusion, my experience with Dr. Emtage and his medical team has been marred by unsuccessful surgeries, unresolved health issues, and inadequate communication. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of care and the lack of attention given to my medical needs. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering medical treatment from Dr. Emtage.

Great doctor, very caring and knowledgeable

Emtage works closely with my urologist (over in Melbourne). I met with him prior to the surgery and he spent a lot of time going over all my questions. He is very patient and knowledgeable. The surgery went very well. They handled all before stuff (i.e. insurance) and post stuff (follow ups, meds, etc.) The procedure went very well. He is a gifted surgeon. He has stayed in touch (even calling me personally on my cell just to see how I'm doing). He did a great job and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Emtage is the kind of doctor everyone should have… He has patience, a great personality and balances his professionalism and desire to help his patients. He is always concerned about my well-being. Definitely recommend
