Dr. Justin Garrett Hovey, MD

Dr Hovey is a great dr. Seeing him is very hard. I was excited to see him. I became very sick with flu. After two weeks long haul. called Office. Told receptionist. She said We hace done all we can for you. Go to ER. Dr hovey is in rounds and not available for two weeks. Devastated. Worse now than I was. I guess I was terminated. Only saw him 2 times. I really like him. I hace a lot of issues due to age and fluroquinone poisening. I asked him if he would agree to see me. Yes. I think he just too busy and staff too busy. Say they call you back but dont. I will go ti walk in until he moves office and has appts. He's great dr. I hope he will see me when not so busy

Dr. Justin Hovey is not a good doctor. Don't take your family to him. He does not listen to his patients, he randomly prescribes unneeded medications and will prescribe medications that you are allergic to. Case in point, my mother-in-law. He prescribed a medication that she is allergic to (which his office was fully aware) and when she called to question the prescription he required her to drive all the way to his office to pick up another prescription. She's 75 and doesn't drive and he would not call it in to the pharmacy. When she arrived he had written her a prescription for the name brand version of the same medication! Not only was it the same medicine, it was $675! This is not patient care, this is spite. This is malpractice and he should not still be in business. Protect your loved ones. Don't take them anywhere near Justin Hovey.

I was devastated when my previous family doctor closed the doors to his practice. I was so comfortable with him that the very thought of having to find a new doctor made me ill, I felt such relief when we found doctor Justin Hovey. My husband and I both changed to him immediately, He is a very caring man and has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have had. He is always concerned about my concerns. We would totally recommend him to everyone. He is great, however some of his staff needs to be replaced, It took over a week for her to get my pain meds preapproved and she didn't seem the least bit concerned about my feelings. One bad apple doesn't spoil the bunch. We will continue with Dr. Hovey as long as he will see us, They don't come any better than him.

Dr. Hovey absolutely gets 4 stars from me. I am someone who would absolutely not be alive today if it was not for him. Thank you Dr. Hovey and your wonderful staff.

Dr. Hovey is a kind and caring doctor whom gives you undivided attention and is willing to aide you in getting a diagnosis. My only issue is that he wants to treat only one issue at a time and I do not have the time to wait long periods of time to get a diagnosis. You have to prod him along. Other than that he is a fantastic doctor and I reccomend him to all my family and friends. Thank you so much to the staff at Slocomb Family Medicine and especially Dr. Hovey.

Dr. Hovey is not only a skilled physician but a caring individual as well. His knowledge of lower limb bio mechanical disorders and how they relate to my condition he was able to quiet symptoms. Thank you again Dr. Hovey.
