Dr. Justin Boback Lotfi, MD

I’ve had several injuries and many surgery’s due to my love for motorcycles .. I’ve had Mr. Lotfi as my primary care for years now . He has been easy to talk to and on top of all my health issues ! Stanford has many gifted phyisicians and I’ve met a lot of them , however Lotfi in my opinion is a step above all the rest ..

I am a complex care patient w/ Dr. Lofti for over a year. Dr. Lofti has a reasonable inquiry & discernment w/ new patients, in my experience there were trust stages in the beginning, especially as a chronic pain sufferer. We mutually treat one another w/ respect and empathy (as an employed physician, he is dependent on administrative staff, policies & systems outside his control). I consider him a very valued member of my coordination of care and advocate for my care. He is a younger Doctor and hasn't 'fatigued' from primary care, in my opinion. He has demonstrated interested in researching, as well as familiarizing himself w/ his patients history of care. I have found it easy to offer rebuttals as well as upcoming research and never felt "blown off". This review does not take in account admin/Stanford stuff, which I would say range from average-to-unpleasant. One issue w/ Stanford is that a nurse/aide will intake messages and this can result in delays; Dr. Lofti has always been prompt… to reply when made aware of my messages. I have found his team to be kind and professional, I would put the 'blame' on the systems created by Stanford for the staff to carry out their responsibilities when problems arise. I am thankful to be a patient of Dr. Lofti's.

Dangerous Dr. alert! Dr. Lofti and I had a five minute appointment He messed up a few refferals and when I complained he threatened me then called and canceled my pain management appointment and falsified documents. He even accused me of being an addict after the 5min appointment. Then wouldn't refer me to an addiction specialist for a real opinion. Sick twisted man. Avoid at all possible. First year Dr. Has power and control issues enough to try twice prescribe me meds I am allergic to. He claimed the generic versions were different meds. Scary stuff!

This guy after seeing me once made a few mistakes with referrals. I reported him to his supervisors and he went nuts. Canceled my appoine ts with other Dr.s put false info on my chart and threatened me over the phone.
