Dr. Justin Park, MD

Well I saw Dr. Park in Dec. 2023. I was having terrible left foot pain in September of 2023. I was having a very difficult time getting around. I was also having lower back pain for many years that came from waitressing. He sent me for an m r I and he recommended surgery. Then in just a few weeks I had the surgery. I can't say enough about Doctor Parks. His kindness his caring and he saved my life because I was no longer able to really walk because my L3 and L4 were affecting the nerves in my feet and also terrible back pain and leg pain. I can't say enough good things about mercy hospital. That's where I was operated on. I don't have one complaint. the nurses and the staff were outstanding. I am still healing but I have gone back to work and i'm doing well. The Staff were wonderful. I just want to say if you're considering back surgery. Doctor Justin Park is your man. Everybody says how painful back surgery is.But really it wasn't what I was expecting and I believe that's because I… had the best of the best of a doctor. Thanks again Doctor Parks for giving me my life back.

I had lower back pain from a car accident. In alot of pain. He seen my Mru and said he reccomend surgery. Decompression surgery. He said he will make me feel better. And I haven't felt nothing but more pain after my surgey. Went to see Dr Parks and he was very arrogant. Like he didnt want to hear I was still in pain. He ordered me some patches and Lyrica I couldnt afford. He said it could take yrs together better. But in almost 2 yrs and I the pain hasnt even eased at all. Still in alot of pain. Getting a second opinion now. Not a good doctor at all. I wish I would've looked up his reviews before I let him cut on my back

I went to see Park about a year ago. My mother was so thrilled with Dr. Rue at Mercy Medical, Glen Burnie Md that I decided to try a Mercy Medical specialist for my back pain. At the center I had an xray of my back done. Staff was wonderful. Next, I was taken to a patient room where I waited for him to see me. When he came in he pulled up the xray as I explained my symptoms. I told him that I was having pain after carrying or picking up my 3 month old grandson. That I try walking and strength training 3 times a week, but at times I was very painful. I told him I had been to physical therapy and it helped but once I stopped the pain came back stronger. He lacks bedside manner. He told me that my solution was to tell my son that I can't watch my grandson. He said that if I was well enough to go out for a walk in the morning that I was doing better than others. That since I was mobile there wasn't anything he could do for me. He could not operate on me. Operation was the furthest… thing from my mind. So basically, I needed to be crippled. He said it wasn't like he could send me to physical therapy for the rest of my life. Since then I have been back to therapy and have looked into other doctors. I am still in pain every day. I do not recommend Dr. Park. He comes across arrogant and as if you are a waste of his time.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SEE DR. JUSTIN PARK. I have never posted a review for anything but I have to warn other people before they become a victim of Dr. Park. After having an MRI I went back to him for the results. He told me there was nothing wrong with my back/spine. I guess he didn't take the time to read the radiologist's report which states "L3-4: Mild left forminal narrowing due to lateral disc bulge. L4-5: slight broad disc bulge with no significant canal or foraminal narrowing. L5-S1: Mild broad disk bulge and minimal facet anthropathy. Slight narrowing of the lateral recesses and foramen. I have been in pain for over 2+ years and now I know why, because I requested a copy of the radiologist's report. I will be contacting someone to see what can be done about this.

Great at explaining what is going on and what needs to be done to fix it. I will use him again for my back next because I trust what he says and what he has done so far for my neck.

Dr.Park did a great job. It was painless throughout !!! All the staff is wonderful also !!

I saw him for a severely herniated cervical disc. Very odd attitude. I think he was surprised that I know something about medicine. He suggested the most invasive surgery or I could see his friend (who only rated at 2.5 stars) who does epidurals for pain. When I suggested a less invasive surgery he made excuses as to why I couldn't have it. And, none of the excuses were true. I really trust Mercy Med. Ctr. and I'm surprised that they are allowing him to get away with it.

Oh my god, where even to begin about this appointment..... So I booked this appointment with Dr. Park because I followed the advice of my pain management specialist and made appointments with many different surgeons to ensure I was finding the best surgery possible. I knew Mercy Hospital was not exactly in a great neighborhood of Baltimore having lived there, but I read good reviews of their Spine Center and all the Drs here are trained in disc replacement, so I gave it a shot. I get to the rundown satellite location and it's in a very grimy building. I get inside, even grimier. I think to myself the medical suite upstairs is probably remodeled, nope, the grimiest of all. The girl at the front desk makes me repeat all the info on my paperwork to her standing at the front desk. After like 20 minutes of that, they say I'm finally ready to go in the back. The girl from the front desk leads me to a rundown medical exam room, logs into the computer, and starts trying (and failing)… to take my blood pressure. Um...yeah, the front desk girl does the initial appointment exam. Dr. Park comes in, asks me about my history, rushes me through it and in about 5 minutes asks me in a condescending voice if I would like to look at my MRI. After many surgical consults and trips to the pain management specialist, I already know my MRI pretty well. He starts explaining every part of the human body visible on my MRI to me, starting with "this thing with grey folds is your brain, and this long cord running down is your spinal cord, these round things are your eyeballs.." I interrupt him, say uhhh I went to college took anatomy....I know what a brain looks like!!! He just stares at me and continues this super condescending Kindergarten anatomy lesson. Mind you, he's got my MRI pulled up on a very small MacBook, honestly I bet it was probably his personal one with the quality of the office and everything in it. He informs me he sees no herniations and doesn't know what my pain management specialist and GP are talking about, and that the radiologist who did the report must have also been wrong. I'm completely dumbfounded by this assessment, look at him, look at my MRI pulled up on this tiny MacBook screen, and realize....he didn't know how to use the software properly and didn't turn on the directional arrows. Without the arrows, you can't figure out where you are on the images in relation to the height on your spine. Realizing this, I look at the disc he has pulled up on the screen....it's the wrong one! I quickly decide that I'm over this and I want to leave and I just say ok great and hope he lets me leave now. He seems puzzled by my bemused look on my face, asks me if I'm disappointed, and tells me I can get a 2nd opinion if it would make me feel better. Little did he know the surgeon I talked to that morning for a different consult recommended a 2 level spinal fusion. Honest to god. So, if you see Dr. Park, all I can say is, best of luck to you and your spine. I wouldn't trust him to read a map. You're better off going to University of Maryland or Hopkins if you can afford it.
