Dr. Justin Ray Quade, MD

DO NOT SEE THIS PROVIDER if you desire someone who is compassionate about patient care, you’d like to see someone who seems genuinely concerned and committed to helping you resolve your issue. In my 44 years I cannot recall ANY time that I felt I was not treated with dignity in a medical setting-before today Allina staff have always been amazing. MD credentials alone do not make a great doctor and I would advise anyone to read reviews and do your research before selecting anyone. Today unfortunately in my panic to be seen I overlooked the fact I could have called my OBGYN, and I scheduled the first open appointment I could see because it was quick to do online. I noticed that this Dr. had “many” openings and scheduled without research and without ignoring the initial instinct to choose someone else. From the moment he came in the room it was clear he didn’t want to be there. The conversation started with him asking me why I was coming in to which I responded “I have a LOT of things… going on, but today I just want to discuss the main two” Before I could tell him what those were He responds in a very coy way “Well I don’t have time for anything other than you main concern today”. It didn’t feel right, it felt rude, but we continued. As he asked me about my medical history I answered the question and he told me “well I don’t look at your entire chart and surgical history before I come in the room” and smirked at me - I couldn’t believe the tone but again I ignored and continued. He asked me a series of questions about one of the issues and I described several times. He tried to brush me off - it almost felt as though he was challenging me as if I was making up symptoms. He said “well you said it’s not this, and it’s not that…” and I said, well I’ve described it to you the best way I know how. The final straw was when he asked to take a look and a listen and said he didn’t hear or see any issue regarding the first concern. I referred to my chart and medical history of previous visits when I mentioned he had not examined a specific part of my body. He then said in a nasty tone “you can’t see (anatomy in question) by looking there”. I was so upset that I was being treated this way! From the moment I walked in he looked me up and down as if I were uneducated and ignorant. While I do not currently practice direct patient care, and I have never claimed to have the knowledge of a physician, I am least smart enough to pass the MN Board exam to obtain my RN license and work in the various capacities. I told him there would be no need to even discuss the other issue because this appointment was OVER and I attempted to end it. Then he asks me if I want him to now look at previously mentioned anatomy-NO. He asked if I would like him to write me a prescription I said “NO-done!” He quickly tried to backtrack but it was too late. As a woman of color, I first give people who I feel mistreat me the benefit of the doubt (bad day, exhausted, sad, life situations) and not assume their treatment of me is related. It may not have been the case here, but based on this horrible interaction-the worst I’ve experienced personally-I could not think of why else he would repeatedly speak to me in the way he did rather than treat me with dignity, care, and genuine concern from the moment he walked in the door. Living in the twin cities metro, I have not need to go to Farmington and will definitely NOT be back.

Dr. Quade has provided my family and I with the utmost care since 2013. Dr. Quade is exceedingly knowledgeable in family medicine, practices good bedside manner, has exceptional communication skills and is a caring. Our family highly recommends Dr. Quade and the care he provides.

This guy obiously acts as if he has no time for you, and could care less. Go somewhere else! NO WONDER ICOULD GET IN RIGHT AWAY TO SEE HIM. HE SUCKS!

I went in for a physical and recurring side pain. He said it is two different things. So, as long as I am there, why do we not discuss recurring side pain also? This is the problem with health care these days.

Hands down one of the best doctors in the country. After so many poor quality doctors over the years, I'm so lucky to find Quade. He not only is one of the most knowledgable and pragmatic doctors I've ever seen, he has one of the most compassionate and cordial bedside manners.

Dr Quade is an athlete who understands physiology very well and how the strain of training can create quirks in athletes' bodies, which I really appreciate in a MD. I was surprised at how concerned and thorough he was in reviewing my medical history prior to becoming his patient - he investigated the care I should have been receiving (which I had not understood correctly or it wasn't communicated by my specialist). Dr. Quade got me on the correct path for my long term health care.

Not a good provider, not recommend to anyone

Wound not recommend to anyone. Poorly run clinic and also provider was not worth seeing at all. Didn't know what i had to say, not willing to listen and had his own agenda
