Treated my mom for a very bad finger infection and she also has diabetes. He had to drain wound and that was hard to watch but he was lovely and responsive to her needs. I think the follow-up instructions were a bit vague, however which is why I didn't give 5 stars. We were not instructed how to change dressing (if we even needed to) on wound and at the 48 hour mark post-ER visit we were told to see Primary doc. We did and that doc said he couldn't attend to this issue (not in his scope given that it was an infection?) and we were to see a 'hand specialist" (ortho). Would have been nice to know that from the outset instead of wasting time driving to her Primary 30 min away and then spending 30 min on the phone with 4 ortho doc's to get in -- and no one wanted to see her b/c of the infection -- very confusing! Alas, the actual ER visit was good and Fairfax is a stellar ER and staff was great.

We were very concerned when I arrived at the emergency room, but his bedside manner the time he took with us were very reassuring.
