Meet Dr Laska:
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit our website. I would like to personally welcome you and promise that you will be treated with respect, knowledge and honesty.
Let me start out by providing a little bit of my background. I was born in Poland in 1978 and moved to the United States at the age of 15. I was a sophomore in High School (H.S.) at the time and starting school in a foreign country without a sufficient knowledge of the language was, for lack of better words, interesting for me. At that time, I became worried that my dream of becoming a dentist, which began when I was 6 years old, would not be as attainable as I had initially thought. I worked very hard the remainder of my high school years and managed to graduate in the top ten graduates of my class. I was accepted to an advanced program of denistry at the Universiy of Detroit-Mercy that allowed me to receive my Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery degrees in an amazing 6 years …instead of 8 years. I graduated in 2002, moved to Fort Worth, Texas and married the greatest man-my husband Shawn. We now have two wonderful kids-Natalie and Nicholas that are attending St. Andrews school in Fort Worth.
Dentistry is my passion and I love waking up every day knowing that I get to help people with their oral health. I know from experience (Polish dentistry is not the greatest) how difficult it can be to sit in the dental chair and how scary it can be, but I completely understand where the patients come from. You can name just about every dental procedure out there and I've had it done on me, too. There is no better feeling to me than to help my patients through their treatment and find their beautiful smile or to simply relieve them of pain that has been keeping them up for few nights. I am truly blessed to be one of the lucky few that works in a profession that I have dreamed about since I was a little girl.
