I went to Dr. Byrd for buttock pain after back surgery (piriformis syndrome) and right hip pain. He did x-rays in the office. I was told that there was nothing wrong. I just underwent hip replacement surgery with piriformis release. I am about 2 weeks post op and feel much better than before surgery. The piriformis pain is totally resolved. Dr. Byrd totally missed both diagnoses.

Dr. Byrd has operated on both of my sons hips and fixed his FAI (femoroacetabular impingement's) and torn labrums. We purposefully chose Dr. Byrd to care for our young athlete due to his skill set and his stellar recommendations from others. We were not disappointed. He explained the surgery in detail and was attentive before and after the surgery. His nursing staff were awesome as well! I will agree with previous reviewers that sometimes the office wait is lengthy but it is only because he is taking his time with each patient.

If not for workman’s comp, we would’ve never stayed here. They had us bring our child to their office at 6 am once when they don’t even open till 8. They have you always sitting in rooms for 2+ hours. The staff that answers the phone is some of the rudest women I’ve ever dealt with. They will drain your insurance for things you don’t need. Just terrible terrible experience. I can see getting behind but EVERY SINGLE TIME it’s a several hour wait!!! I would’ve given them a -5 if I could’ve

If you are an athlete- go here! He gets how athletes think and work and will create a plan that will make sure you recover well!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Byrd. I was referred to him with a labral tear and he and his staff were great to me. He did not rush right into surgery but explained why I needed PT first so I could recover appropriately after surgery. After a few months of PT and he felt I was ready for surgery, he performed the surgical procedure. Everything from start to finish went well and I am doing great today! His skill in this specialty is unsurpassed! I am so grateful to him and his staff for taking such good care of me and ensuring that I had a great experience!

The best experience with Dr Byrd and his staff. He is a wonderful surgeon! So thankful that I choose him to do my hip surgery! He's the best!! I had no problems after surgery very little pain!! My hip is great, thanks to Dr Byrd and his staff!!

Dr. Byrd and his team are phenomenal. I'm grateful he took my case and I had no problem with the fact he is hours away from me. The scheduling, appointments, physical therapy, patient education was all top notch and succinct. Having had hip surgery once prior before Dr. Byrd, I can attest to the fact that he level of pain experienced after surgery with Dr. Byrd was much lower. There are so many good things I can say about Dr. Byrd and his team!

Going through bilateral hip arthroscopies for labral tears and FAI has without a doubt been the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life. I knew that once I was Dr Byrd's patient, I was finally going to get help for the pain I had been experiencing for so long. Dr Byrd, his nurses, physical therapists, and entire office staff have treated me like a friend, not just a patient. They always take the time to truly listen to all of my concerns and give me thorough and honest answers. Anytime I call with a question about anything, I always get a prompt call back. Dr Byrd and his team truly treat the patient as a whole person not just the injury. This recovery is a long process, and I am thankful knowing that I have the best in my corner helping me to reach my goals!
