Emergency gall bladder removal was handled with care, and she made me feel like I was in the best hands possible through two surgeries. Her caring nature is very obvious at every turn.

I have attempted to send three previous VERY NEGATIVE reviews on Dr. Sims miserable handling of the insertion of my feeding tube prior to my cancer treatment. She greatly impacted my quality of life due to her inability to insert the tube which had to be removed three days after insertion by emergency surgery. The removal eventually caused a large hernia to form in my abdomen. I had to have the hernia repaired via a major operation. My abdomen is deformed and scars are blatant. I have not been able to regain any strength in my stomach muscles. The big concern is why have the previous 3 reviews been removed from Sims' website. This is truly reprehensible!

Dr. Sims saw my wife for a ruptured appendix in May and managed everything including the appendectomy in a professional manner. She had a great disposition and her confidence was very reassuring.

Dr. Sims took care of the ruptured appendix and was knowledgeable personable with great surgical results. My family will use her again if we need a surgeon if we need.

After arriving for my 1:30 appointment 2 minutes early, I was told the doctor possibly could not see me because I did not come 15 min earlier (this message was never conveyed to me before hand) to do paperwork. Keep in mind there is no one in the waiting room and the front desk staff was surprisingly rude. Within 1 minute of sitting down to do my paperwork I was told the doctor could not see me and needed to reschedule.. Needless to say we did not reschedule and would be going elsewhere..

My daughter needed an emergency appendectomy on a weekend night. Dr. Sims was on call and scheduled the procedure immediately after reviewing the scans. I was very nervous in that the whole issue was unknown and unplanned. Dr. Sims came into the ED room prior to surgery and calmly explained what processes would take place during the surgery and answered any questions we had. She personally walked out to the waiting room at 9:00 pm to let me know the surgery went well and the appendix was more inflamed than the scans indicated. She rounded the next day and explained what the recovery process would be - even offering her contact information in case we had any further questions. Dr. Sims was great all around - both at bedside and as a surgeon.
