Dr. Kaitlin Mae Ames, DO

I had been Dr. Ames' patient for several years, but I was concerned about her ability to do more than check boxes in a standard annual appointment. She took me off a medication without a good plan to continue treating my condition. I ended up getting help from another doctor who said the procedure she did for me was "very common." I can't believe Dr. Ames didn't even suggest this procedure. Also, COVID has highlighted which doctors care about their patients as individuals and which see them as a chart and $. My last (and I mean LAST) appointment proved to me which Dr. Ames is.

Kailyn Ames called Child Protective Services on us; She did this because we said we needed a second opinion, after she ignorantly suggested that our 1 and 3/4 year old daughter be placed In speech therapy, given she isn’t speaking to Kate Ames’ expectations... So yeah, after we rejected her Medical Opinion, and we said we may have to get a second opinion, Ol’ Katlyn kicked us out of her office, and the. Informed CPS that we are mistreating our child, because we are not raising our child the way she wants us to. Two CPS agents came to our house, and checked to see if we have food in our fridge, and a place for her to sleep. When they saw that our daughter has a crib and a bed ready for her when she grows out of the crib... a fridge full of food... the one agent said, I can’t believe that a Doctor would be ignorant and irresponsible enough to waste our time and resources to fulfill her own hateful agenda... because parents didn’t like her Medical opinion.

Wonderful and compassionate doctor that cares for her patients.

Experiencing severe chronic symptoms, I sought help as i was unable to function with daily activities and responsibilities. She ordered some basic scans and bloodwork(cbc). Results were normal so she said "ok, everything looks good, you're fine" I asked what do I do now with the problems I'm having, as it's debilitating and my quality of life is diminished. She said "we" aren't going to do medication at this time and offered no referral, no plan for symptom suppression, no investigation, and no follow up plan. She acted like I did not have a problem. I was frustrated and left in tears, feeling hopeless. I found a new doctor who has since helped me with symptoms and discovered I have autoimmune diseases. I'm on a path to getting real help. Seeing Kaitlyn was a waste of time, she did not show concern or interest and implied I was pill seeking. I'm so glad to have now found someone else after years of struggle who listened and sincerely wants to help. However, Im sure she is… effective for acute, non life threatening medical conditions and immunizations.
