have the same type of exam every year. I have health conditions that make it crucial; legal blindness in one eye. My lens strength has been stable for quite some time. I have 3-4 different frame styles, all with approximately the same prescription. In August, I fell and damaged a pair. I had the printed scrip from 2024 that was still valid. I ordered new glasses. I wear bifocals. My new glasses were fine for near vision however everything else was blurry. The prescription given to me in 2024 was drastically different than prior years. Dr Dwyer performed a refraction which supported prior measurements. My new, incorrect lenses were measured by a machine prior to exam. It showed that my new glasses were not the correct prescription. From there I was accused of seeing some other doctor that must have given the wrong script; or that my vision had sudden changes; previous years I had stated my lenses were fine, so I must have been wearing the strength all along. I ask repeatedly if the 2024… could have been a data entry error or if the machine that measures lense strength could have been calibrated incorrectly or user had not pick properly in machine. No one will answer these questions. The standard answer is that it was my fault. I’m not fond of being called dishonest. Nor am I impressed by a physician that believes they can do no wrong. I have been working Watson Clinic risk management. They said ‘Dr Dywer says she accurately performed and reported my exams” and that they can only support what see says. I had to pay out of pocket a second time to have the new lenses remade. I ask to have Watson Clinic reimburse me $242 for the error. The standard by saying I made this mistake.

Dr. Dwyer is very thorough and very pleasant. She spends the necessary time and answers all of the questions you might have regarding your prescription.

Dr Dwyer is the first eye Dr I have seen and she made me feel very comfortable and informed.
