Kaley Wilson, family medicine nurse practitioner, has worked closely with patients, their family and friends for more than 16 years. As a Rice Lake native, she takes pride in serving her community.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to put patients first and provide care close to home," she said.
She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree and Master of Science degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida.
She sees patients of all ages for primary care concerns and treatments. She has expertise in Nexplanon and IUD insertions, laceration repairs, splinting and casting and women's health.
She strives to be an active listener and understand her patient's concerns. She wants to work as a team, rather than tell patients what to do.
“I like to think of myself as the health care navigator and the patient as the driver. All our conversations and decisions are discussed together," she said. “At the end of the day, it comes down …to what the patient believes is the best option for them."
She also is passionate about watching her patients understand and work towards being proactive about their health.
“My job is to make people understand their diagnosis, how we can treat or manage it and be a part of their medical journey," she said.
