Dr. Kalpana Thakur, MD

My experience with Dr. Thakur's office has been a PROFOUNDLY NEGATIVE ONE! I originally scheduled an appointment for April 9th at 11:00 a.m. A couple of days before my scheduled appointment, I had to go to the ER. I tried to call these people, but every time I did, some girl who barely spoke English answered the phone, mumbled something unintelligible and then put me on hold. They left me on hold indefinitely! After I got out of the hospital, I've tried to call these people to schedule a new appointment (4 additional times total). Every time, I experienced the EXACT SAME RESULT; some lady answers mumbling something unintelligible, she puts me on hold, and then leaves me on hold indefinitely! I finally went to their website in hopes that I'd find some way to send them a message, but there is no way to do so in the "contact" section of their site! NO doctor is worth this kind of WASTE OF MY TIME! So, Dr, Thakur will never know what happened to me or why. Disappointing, to be… sure!

THE GOOD: Thakur is a pretty good doctor. She is thorough, genuinely concerned about patient well-being, and consistent about monitoring health. Draws are done in-house, which is convenient, and yearly physicals include EKG, urine analysis, and blood work. Also, at the end of each visit you get a printout listing current medications, treatments and diagnoses made, and the date/time of the next appointment. The printouts are great for keeping track of health records and not missing appointments. THE BAD: With the exception of Michelle (who is great), the staff here is rude and unprofessional. The stench of their disdain is overwhelming, palpable even from the parking lot. Who knew that scheduling appointments and taking blood pressure was so torturous and unbearable? Truly, it is as if they made some unfortunate deal with the devil. In return for a job where they can sit, they must now serve out an eternity in servitude to humanity as their souls are slowly sucked away by the… American healthcare machine.

Good Dr., just having problem finding good, professional, friendly staff is all.

Dr. Thakur has been awesome for both me and my husband who is very medically complicated. I would recommend her to anyone!
