I am a surgeon. I needed heart bypass surgery. I sought out the best. My family and I were quite worried. Dr. Khabbaz worked a miracle for me . Two months post op I felt better than when I was a teenager! In fact on post op day one I wanted to return to work. Grateful is an understatement as to how I feel about Dr. Khabbaz and his team at Beth Israel. Now, almost 1 year later I still feel good. Because I am intense and quite selective about my care I wanted the best. Dr. Khabbaz came through for me. Truthfully, the open chest quintuple bypass was not so bad. The vein grafts were done immaculately. If you need this procedure and want the best surgeon go to Dr. Khabbaz. Please don't be as scared as I was, he really is wonderful.

Dr. Khabbaz recently performed aortic valve replacement surgery on me and I couldn't be happier. Everything went perfectly with all aspects of the surgery. Dr. Khabbaz skills are amazing. The bedside manner was also amazing. If you need heart surgery this is the only person you should you should ever consider.

If anyone needs an aortic valve replacement, try as hard as you can to have Dr. Kabbaz do it.

My family and I are so grateful our Dad's medical journey began with Dr. Khabbaz. Under the most serious and scary of medical circumstances, with many unknowns, Dr. Khabbaz was able to be gently and carefully be encouraging--to us all. Even though we all understood the risks of this surgery, Dr. Khabbaz was able to help us to gather strength from each other, in the most comforting of ways. His genuine warmth and kindness was so reassuring at this difficult time. Each day of life is a blessing. My family and I believe that Dr. Khabbaz and his gifts, both as a Surgeon and as a Human Being, have given us an abundance of blessings, in giving our Dad a chance for a new life.

When you find out that your elder family member needs by-pass surgery, you want to have a surgeon who is caring, compassionate and while realistic, makes you feel confident in his ability and the outcome. Dr. Khabbaz was all of the above and took the time to talk with my father and family and gave us information that was digestible and not over our heads. The surgery was a success and my father is getting better daily. We could not have asked for better care from Dr. Khabbaz and the nurses at Beth Israel.
