Dr. Kamal Nigam, MD

I was in st.mary's hospital for a week and they said that I had a follow up with this doctor. I don't even remember seeing her in the hospital. I went in to see her and the first thing she said was what are you doing here to see me. Why did You pick me. I didn't think hospital did. And then she said we need to repeat. A cat. And I said why will you have a mass and we need to repeat it. I did not know anything about a mass. She did not know any of my meds even though i brought a list she said that was nothing she could do about my legs being swelled and redness from my chef that they would always be like that from me being obese and with copd. She was just very rude and just pure smart a--. She needs to learn some bad side manner.

He suggested my lupus was reversible (a disease to which there is no cure) and bullied me for my weight which prompted me to leave in tears. No doctor has ever done this to me and was extremely uncalled for. I was in the office for a bad cough. He initially prescribed a medication that poorly interacts with one of my medications and was highly offended when I asked for the proper antibiotic.

I came in to Norton Urgent Care because I have had bronchitis for three months. The doctor I was given today was Dr. Nigam, and he provided me the worst visit I’ve had anywhere. I left in tears and had a panic attack in my car. He took my phone from me because my phone case is different, and did not return it when I had extended my hand for it back. He gave me 5 minutes of a visit, constantly cutting me off, calling me stupid for smoking, saying I should “just quit” when I’ve been trying to and have made great progress. He did not give me the time to speak about my concerns, did not give me the shots the nurse said I would be receiving today, and was all around disinterested in me as a patient. I will NEVER go back to Nortons in the Highlands ever again.
