Dr. Kamala Gullapalli Cotts, MD

Dr Kamala happened to be on an international flight with us from India to the US on Jan 3rd. It's a long flight of about 16 hours at a stretch from New Delhi to Chicago. About couple hours into the flight, my one year old daughter developed serious breathing issues and soon it turned into a serious medical emergency.Upon paging for doctors in flight, Dr Kamala responded right away and volunteered to examine the baby. She was extremely quick in diagnosing the issue and consulted with couple other doctors who had showed up to determine the right medication for my child. She even went beyond her role and started coordinating with fellow passengers to look out for the medication, just in case if anyone had it with them, and as luck would have it , she did manage to get some alternate medicines and started the treatment right away. Through out the entire flight she took great care of my child , often stopping by our seats to check on the baby's condition and also to administer the… medication at regular intervals. As soon as we landed in Chicago , she called in the prescription to our local pharmacy so we could pick it up right away, just in case if we run into any issues going to the ER. In fact her this gesture SAVED us and my child a big trouble because that's when we got hit to with the arctic freeze and it was almost impossible for us to go to the ER as temps dropped to sub zero. I was able to pick up the medicines that she had prescribed and ever since then my daughter has recovered fast and we never had to go to the ER anymore. She even called us up several times in the next couple days to find out our babies condition and has been in touch since then. I just cannot Thank her enough for her voluntary services when it mattered the most. Her dedication towards her profession is simply out standing ! She not only saved our child, but in fact avoided an Emergency landing of an international flight. Something that would have otherwise caused a lot of inconvenience to all the fellow passengers. Although she is not a Pediatrician, but still she was very confident in her approach, and provided the right diagnosis for my child. I would strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great, caring, responsible and most importantly confident doctor with lots of experience. Good luck and hope this review helps.

She was absolutely atrocious and should not be allowed to practice medicine. She yelled at me like I was a four year old child, is ego maniacal and has absolutely no bed side manner.
