Dr. Kambiz Bral, MD

I had been a previous patient to dr bral in the past. After being admitted to the hospital for three days and finding out I had severe erosive gastritis and multiple ulcers, I went to his practice to try to figure out why. He was scheduled about 4 months out so I didnt get a chance to see him physically as my dr. I made two visits, with his assistants. Each time, I waited in the waiting room for over an hour, the second time for an hour and a half. Then another half hour inside the room. Well, they sent me to get a scan. When I got to the scan, the form was written improperly and they almost rescheduled the scan for me. Luckily, they got in contact with someone and it got done. The results showed up online and even an untrained me could see there was much more than just a clear scan l. The next day I got a call from the office saying the results were normal and that I no longer needed to make further appts. Still in severe pain And very frustrated, I called another gi dr for a… second opinion. The first thing he said was that one portion was normal, yes, but there were other things that were very much not normal and proceeded with other tests for me. Now I'm looking at surgery for the problem that didnt exist to dr bral. Who told me, even without physically seeing me, that I was "normal " and everything was fine and didnt need any more appts. Cant believe the lack of care for a patient in severe pain.

Dr. Bral perforated my colon and was overzealous with cauterizing about 10 different blood vessels. Spent 18 days in the hospital and got a staph infection in my knee and ankle that required surgery. Then spent 6 weeks at home on heavy duty IV antibiotics. I saw him ONE time in the hospital the whole time I was there although his partner came in regularly.

The absolute worst patient care I have ever experienced. I have spoken round and rougn with Laurie in the office for the past 2 1/2 weeks to resolve a bill that my wife was charged. We have top tier health insurance, and specifically asked whether a procedure with their office Rochester Endoscopy is covered. They will tell you one thing and then charge you another. They do not stand behind their patients, nor their actions. I was told this is a learning lesson for their staff, that this happens all the time. Dr. Bral's office will tell patients their insurance is covered downstairs at the Rochester Endoscopy which it is not. How can a professional office have "learning lessons" at a patient's expense?!?

I met Dr. Bral in 2008, I was in hospital for unknown internal bleeding. He was not my doctor at the time and he was perplexed as to why I was bleeding. Several months later, I received a letter from his office asking if I would come in to see him, he thought he may have figured out my problem. After many years of gastroenterology issues, someone finally knew what was wrong, and it wasn't even my doctor at the time. I went to see him and he explained the problem and sent me to see a surgeon that was able to correct the issue. Dr. Bral did not have to even think about my issue, I believe he was just at the hospital to read my test results, but he took the time and energy to study my problem and figure out what it could be. How many doctors go that far for another person? Not many, unless they are their patients. He literally changed my life and I will be forever grateful. In addition to all of this, he is a kind and compassionate person.

I have been seeing Dr Bral for years and think very highly of him. He is very thorough and tells you as it is, explaining in his very calm manner. He shows his patients with nothing but the upmost respect
