I visited the HUMC ER with chest pains. I have serious issues with the care provided by Dr. Bell. He had me take a catscan, without explaining to me the dangerous levels of radiation (110 xrays!), after I thoroughly explained my strong family history of cancer. I didn't discover this danger until I went home and researched it. I never would have agreed to a catscan had he explained the level of radiation. Also, I was in the ER for 5 hours and released with chest pains and trouble breathing....with no diagnosis! Finally, he spent all of 2 minutes at my bedside, hunched over, leaning on the gurney railing as if he was hungover, rolling his eyes, the entire time. I was like- is he the patient or am I? Umm...what kind of doctor is the "#1 hospital in NJ" employing? This was unacceptable.

This Doctor was the most unprofessional individual I have ever encountered. His bedside manner lacked tact and empathy. He didn't introduce himself, leaned against the counter, and ordered a series of tests for my condition without even evaluating me! This doctor wasted my precious time and hard earned money, misinformed me about my MRI time, and told me to "suck it up" in dealing with an unnecessary overnight stay. This guy failed to communicate with me and my family at every level.
