Dr. Kamrul Ahsan Khan, MD

I had a psychiatric telemed appointment with Dr. Khan and was so impressed with him. He was so thorough and really took his time to understand me and get to know me so that he could diagnose me properly. He made me feel heard and cared for. He did a great job explaining my diagnosis and treatment options to me. I am a medical provider myself, so I understand the intricacies of what makes a good provider. I really cannot say enough great things about him. I wish that all medical students had someone like him to learn from, our whole healthcare system would benefit.

On my second and fourth meeting with Dr. Khan he made inaccurate accusations and accused me of using cocaine. He even stated that a urinalysis done by Milestones had come back positive for cocaine. I had successfully completed milestones and have a copy of all urine tests that were given me to. All the urinalysis tested negative. I don't know the reason why Dr. khan would say something that wasn't true, but I believe he was intentionally trying to scare me. As a woman recently released from prison and struggling to adjust to society after being incarcerated 21 years, not to mention living with a bipolar disorder; he instilled a fear in me that I don't know if I will ever be able to forget. This incident has made me terrified of the very people who are suppose to help me.
