Dr. Kamyar Farhangfar, MD

Dr. Farhangfar teaches a "healthy lifestyles" class at Mercy Midtown which I am taking. He is very knowledgeable, covers information in a understandable manner & seems to truly care about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Farhangfar.

This doctor would not listen to my observation and lifelong knowledge of my medical history. He made unfounded accusations.

I just got my coverage recently, and had another MD selected as my PCP. However, I had a relatively urgent health issue, and needed to see an MD sooner than my assigned PCP had availability. Dr. Farhangfar had an opening, so I took it. I was a little concerned by the "iffy" reviews here, but once I saw him, I thought he was excellent. He listened to what I had to say, seemed to give it serious thought and consideration, and referred as appropriate. Also he specifically asked me if I had questions, and when I did, took the time to answer in detail, including drawing a picture on paper to illustrate what was going on. Then he again asked if I had questions, until I said "No more questions." I thought he was vary polite and respectful. He is a little formal in his bearing, but that's fine with me; I like a little "gravitas" in my MD when I have serious stuff going on. Also, all the office staff (reception, nurse, PA, lab staff, etc) were friendly and efficient. I am folowing up… with him in a couple of months, after completing the referrals he's recommended. I had selected a female MD initially, but am quite happy with this (male) doctor. Altogether, this has been one of my better healthcare experiences to date.
