Dr. Kalpana Gaddam Reddy, MD

Despite the long wait times to see her PA and then see her for less than 5 minutes, Dr. Reddy is a very nice physician. However, her front desk staff could benefit from going back to school and taking classes on how to treat patients with respect and empathy. I transferred care to another physician due to one of her staff member’s very bad attitude and demeanor and I don’t think she should be working in healthcare AT ALL. I find it sad that Dr. Reddy has to lose patients due to her rude staff member.

Reading the reviews will make you not want to go seek treatment with this Doctor. Despite the reviews will we make Dr. Kalpana Reddy our permanent endocrinologist. Dr. Kalpana Reddy was assigned to us because our love one was admitted into ICU @ Forest Hills Hospital with dangerously high blood sugar. He could have died. She did come off as hard, but most result driven people aren’t focused on the small stuff, their focused only on achieving a goal. If the goal is to save a life nothing else should matter. She is direct and extremely knowledgeable. She explained the hows and whys of the treatment in laymen’s terms, so we had a complete understanding. She also gave a detailed overview of what was needed for the rest of his life to keep him from ever being this close to death again. Her medical treatment stabilized him and saved his life. I asked her if she was taking new patients she said yes but warned us her office is a little chaotic. I respect that. Great Doctors don’t have time… and shouldn’t waste time managing an office. Their focus should be on saving lives.
