Dr. Kara Leatrice Cooper, MD

Thoroughness is crucial in healthcare. I wouldn't recommend this doctor if you're looking for a detailed and attentive evaluation.

I had a terrible visit with her. I presented two years of medical records from my now retired primary care physician to establish her as my PCP. So did not to a moment to even glance at my records, her face was glued to the PC monitor. I told her my back had been bothering me and would like an x-ray. She snapped at me that she would refer me to physical therapist. Instead looking at my records, she asked me "what medications are you currently taking". One of the medications I am taking is for anxiety. When mentioned that she snapped and said "I do not treat chronic benzos." Referring to me as "chronic benzo" is not something a Dr. should say to someone who has PTSD and anxiety.

Went to see Dr. Cooper as a new patient to establish a PCP. I had an appointment scheduled late in the afternoon due to my work schedule. I am so disappointed in this office. When I arrived the lady in the front was very short and unfriendly. She said only two things to me (asked for my cards, and told me to fill out paperwork. No "Hi, how are you?" Nothing.) I was then called back by one nurse who started my preliminaries and then was pulled away by I assume was the nurse manager, and then told that another lady would take care of me. The second lady seemed put off by this and had a short/rude attitude the entire time. When Dr. Cooper came in she went over a couple of things (medications) I had told the nurse and was out of the room in less than 3 minutes. I have health conditions that I didn't even have a chance to speak with her about. I felt like a burden during my entire visit from all of the staff. I understand that its later in the afternoon, but it wasn't even 5:00 yet. I have… worked several years in the hospital setting including quality department, and I have never felt this uncared for in my life. I do not recommend this office at all, unless you like being made to feel like cattle.

Dr. Cooper is a wonderful physician. She goes the extra mile for her patients' health care.

Dr cooper was kind and efficient. Checking in was easy and fast. Not a very long wait to be called back. Lpn who did labs was good. Checking out was easy. Great experience!

My experience has been great for both of my visits and all of my husband's visits.

The front office was very nice. Got me in really quick once I arrived for my appt. Dr. Cooper came in pretty quickly so didn't have to wait log.

She is attentive and cares.
