Dr. Kara Uegawachi received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She then continued on to graduate from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, School of Dentistry, in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. During her education, she was awarded the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Kara spent four years in private practice in the state of Colorado. When she moved to Seattle in 2002, she spent five years serving the dental needs of underprivileged children and adults at the Neighborcare Health Dental Clinic. During this time, she served as an Affiliate Faculty member at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, pediatric department.
Dr. Kara was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii, where she still has family and visits frequently. She now lives in Seattle with her husband, Bryan, and their two children. Dr. Kara enjoys spending time with her …family, reading, and yoga.
