I had suffered a broken ankle & while on the mend (within the 1st week) I had developed what I thought was a severe chest cold. I had assumed that my grandson had passed along his cold to me, as he has in the past. I couldn't shake it for 2 & 1/2 weeks & I called Dr. Anderson to see if she'd write me a 'script' for an antibiotic to knock it out. She insisted that I come in for an X-Ray which I reluctantly agreed to. She then told me that I was at risk for a blood clot and wanted me to get a CT Scan. I told her "no" and that I was sure it was a cold. I didn't want to pay the $3500 cost and I fought her on this. She won, I got the scan and right after getting the results, they rushed me to the hospital because I had multiple blood clots in my broken leg and in my chest, INCLUDING a Saddle Pulmonary Embolism which was Very serious. If I had "won" my argument with Dr. Anderson, I probably wouldn't be here today. Thank You Dr. Anderson!
