Dr. Karen L Beasley, MD

Dr. Beasley is an excellent doctor. She is very compassionate and thorough. She takes adequate time to listen to your concerns and then evaluates your symptoms before recommending a course of treatment. She treats the "whole" person, being aware of your personal past history of illnesses and situations. Office staff is very friendly and accommodating. If Dr. Beasley is not available on short notice, another doctor will see me, or, in case of high volume appointments the Nurse Practitioner is available. Calling in for refills of expired meds is a simple procedure. Her private nurse often calls to make sure treatment was effective. They are definitely "pro-active" in your good health and we'll-being.

This was my first time to Dr Beasley - I have been a patient at Cornerstone for the past 20 years - but my normal Doctor was out of the office. She handled my situation very professionally - good "bedside" manners - very knowledgeable - and worked extremely hard to get me to a specialist in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend her - and will be back to see her again.

I have been a patient of Dr Beasley for over 10 yrs. She was great for the first 4 yrs. Lately, though, I haven't been satisfied with some of diagnosis and/or treatments of myself and my son. Three times I have been prescribed penicillin base antibiotics and I am very allergic to them. My pharmacy has contacted me before meds were distributed or I'd been in serious trouble. She is constantly in a hurry and I do not seem to get enough time to talk to her. Ave time she spends is about 7 mins. Ave waiting time to see her is 40 mins, but lately I have waited an hour or two (my last 2 appointments). I have, twice, been "forgotten" while sitting in the waiting area for over 1 1/2 hrs. Office staff even admitted both times to me that they forgot I was waiting even after I went to ask what was taking so long. Follow ups with her have been good, tho. She is pleasant, but lately (1 1/2 yrs, she seem to have changed a bit for the worst). Sad that it has come to this, but I am looking… elsewhere for a new PCP.

I have been going to Dr. Beasley for about 6yrs. and cannot say enough about how GREAT of a Dr. she is! I like that she has a sense of humor at the same time has on spot diagnosis. The staff is very professional as well.

Dr. Karen Beasley has been our family doctor for many years. I cannot think of a time in which she has been anything but proactive in our health care. Extremely professional...staff and all. On my mothers routine physical exam she referred her to a cardiologist...she detected by her examination something suspicious. She ended up needing open heart surgery for a valve replacement. I thank Dr. Beasley for the early diagnosis and for the many years of exceptional care of my family.

She seems ok. Not the best - not the worst. A little condescending, but that seems to go with the title of "Doctor". The office staff is too loud and gabby - I always feel like I'm interrupting their social time. I also don't like to pay the copays for 5 minute follow-up appts. that could have been handled over the phone.

I think Dr. Beasley is great! When my daughters were teenagers, they hated her. Felt she didn't take them seriously and was condescending to them. I have never had that feeling with her. Perhaps she just doesn't related to teenagers well. She is proactive in her treatment and I always find her empathetic.

I am and have been a patient of Dr. Beasley for many years. I find her professional, compassionate, and easy to talk to. What I most appreciate is her "let's find out" style. Rather than taking a "let's wait and see approach", she is proactive in locating the source of a health issue. Which is exactly what I want in a doctor.

This woman is an alarmest. She had me thinking I had some different kind of major illness on several occassions and she put me through many many tests. At times she would diagnose me with something before seeing the test results. This keep me in a constant state of fear that there was something wrong with me. All the tests came back negative. I also think she is an elitest and appears to think that not only the patients but some of the staff particularly any physician assistants in the office are beneath her. She often times discussed other patients diagnosis with me. She was very unprofessional and rude on many occassions. She did not know when she should refer people to a specialist that actually knew what they were doing. I have since moved on to another doctor and have been extremely pleased with the change.
