Dr. Karen Eberly Beckman, MD

I thought all was good until they wanted me to come in for a physical. I asked if I could just get a prescription refill, as I was nervous about exposure to COVID-19. I am 60 and I drive my mother to doctors appointments. She has one functioning lung, COPD in that lung (never a smoker) and presently undergoing Chemo. When I asked if I could put off the appointment I was yelled at (yes yelled at). I told them I would make an appointment and then they gave me 30 days of prescriptions. About 15 days into my prescriptions, I called to make an appointment and was informed I was dropped as a patient for not following my health guidelines. I am a type 2 diabetic. In 2011 I lost 30 lbs, run, climb mountains, lift weights and my diabetes is well controlled. I then asked for 30 more days of prescription so I could find a new doctor and they said no. Well, I did some homework and threatened a patient abandonment suit. They then gave 30 days more. I am in the process of finding a new doctor. Also,… when I go in for a physical and want to talk about something else, it's always you need to make another appointment. Please do yourself a favor and skip this KAREN.

Dr. Beckman is a true evidence-based physician. In my experience, she doesn't perform services that are not required and she doesn't get sucked into the various lies of the too often drug seeking patients. If you want someone to tell you what you want to hear instead of the (sometimes difficult) truth, then go to someone else. This is a physician that cares about her patients sometimes more than they care about themselves. I could not rate her higher.

She appears all sweet and concerned then she turns evil if you question her! Then you get kicked out of the practice and blackball you from other prospective physicians! I had no new physician, go at into an accident ( not my fault ) and she refused to see me! Evil!

Doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for her patients being a primary care doctor. Not really sure what she does for her patients quite honestly. I do know she doesn't want the responsibility to help a patient in need. Would give no stars if it allowed.

I would not recommend her as a health care provider of any sort. I also had the same experience with her concerning a pap-smear that I should have received; according to my Gyno later on. I did have one more medical appointment with her and because I was inconveniencing her by telling her my needs as a patient, she became borderline hostile in her actions.

Discouraged me from getting a Pap smear; though found out later one should have been performed. She seems to be an adequate physician, not great. The first time that I did indeed have an apt. With her she was sweet. The second; not so much. To be objective in theory- maybe that particular day was a bad day for her.

I relocated to this area approx 6 years ago and had a doctor that I really like where I lived before.I went through a few doctor (2) before finding Dr Beckman and she is great! I think that she has good bedside manor, you don't ever feel rushed when she is speaking to you. There is one nurse that I feel is a little abrasive but I am willing to endure her to see Dr Beckman! I would definitely recommend her to others.

It took me years to find a doctor I trusted and I found one in Dr. Beckman.

After going to MANY doctors that rush you in and out we happened to get an appointment with Dr Beckman and have been really satisfied with her as our doctor.
