Dr. Karen Howard Brody, MD

I was ordered by family court into therapy so I would not emotionally react to the emotional abuse (PTSD) I was enduring during my divorce proceedings and after. I was ordered to pay OOP $350 a week to dr. Brody who was hand-selected by a family court judge who did not know her. Very Fortunately for me, she left her practice after a year to run the Middleses Psychiatric Hospital which was sued for abusing patients a year later. I liken my experience at her sessions as falling down Alice's rabbit hole and no way out. Her confrontational and bullying approach did nothing to alieve my PTSD but made me more nervous and anxious every week. I dreaded going to her office and developed PTSD just driving by her office building in Stamford.

Crazy she need to see a doctor herself

I saw Dr. Brody once as a minor. She seemed to have an agenda from the moment my evaluation began. Then, a bee flew into her office and she completely broke down in front of me. Once the bee was gone and she calmed down. I asked if she was allergic. No: just very scared of them. I wouldn't feel comfortable letting this person provide care for my own children.
