Soft spoken, kind, and listens. I feel I can talk about anything without judgement and am never rushed through an appointment with her.

Dr Casciaro is fantastic. I always feel like she listens and cares. Always feel like I get her full attention during my time with her. Highly recommend!

My mother was a patient and went to her several times complaining of pain and swelling in her legs. She never tested her for anything and ignored it. Eventually my mother's cancer doc listened and she had congestive heart failure. Awful doctor. She could have died.

I believe you are the doctor that I came to in humiliation that my boss had called me ADHD when I was a young adult. I had to downgrade from being the teacher I was meant to be to a daycare worker. You judged me and sent me out the door with a form for my new work saying I was not suitable to work with children 0-5 or something! You refused to continue the conversation and I threw out form and quit that job. This undermined my belief in myself from the start of my career and if this is correctly you, I hope you are ashamed!

Found Dr. Casciaro to be very caring. She takes the time to listen, and she even called me at home with test results.

Dr. Casciaro is a very caring doctor and understands the art of listening. I have seen her for many years and feel very positive about the care and sensitivity I have received from her. Only once did I see her physician's assistant, Maryann, and that was not a positive experience at all. She second-guessed my medications (prescribed via my years with Dr. C.) and expected me to give her the rationale for the meds I was taking - inappropriate! She also scared me after the physcial exam, suggesting there was something very seriously wrong that required the attention of a specialist. I then saw the specialist and got a clean bill of health. I will only see Dr. Casciaro or the nurse practicioner - NOT the physician's assistant, Maryann. Maryann does not have the people skills or sensitivity - she is abrupt and made me feel uncomfortable.

Most of my ratings reflect Dr. Casciaro's Physicians Assistant Maryann Sheluga's care. I am a HMO patient in which their office no longer accepts new patients. It seems they force me to see Maryann everytime I call for an appt. I once made an appt. specifically with Dr. Casciaro and they encouraged me to see Maryann. I insisted on seeing Dr. Casciaro since they overlooked something critical that the hospital radiologist discovered and recommended they follow up on after a procedure was done for a different condition. When I saw Dr. Casciaro she commented to me I usually see Maryann. I believe it was another way of telling me that I should not be seeing her. My expectations of a Dr. is that they review my test results and file before they enter the examination room. Everytime I see Maryann I have to remind her of things in my medical history including the medications I am taking that SHE prescribed. I remind her when I am due for follow up tests that need to be done. I don't believe… she is thorough enough. It seems that since my insurance coverage is sub-par (which I have no control over since it is a group plan with my employer) that I receive sub-par care from Maryann. When I work with her and some of the staff at Focus Internal Medicine they sometimes make me feel as if I'm a pest. I am not sure if they are trying to get me to find a new Dr. since they forced to continue to accept my insurance. When I initially began seeing Dr. Casciaro many years ago she gave me excellent care. I am disappointed that the Focus IM team has changed so dramatically. They have a very nice office and there is minimal wait time.

I have never known such a sincere and REALLY caring doctor.She makes sure we cover everything I need to talk about in each visit. I would gladly reccomend her.

Dr. Casciaro truly cares about every single one of her patients. She remembers small details about my life and asks me about them during my visits. The only negative about my experiences at Focus Internal Medicine is with her physician's assistant, Maryann. She has not been a good representative for Dr. Casciaro. Both times I had to see her instead of Dr. Casciaro (for emergency-type situations), she left me reduced to tears by her brusque and harsh manner and assessment.
