Dr. Karen Marie Clary, MD

Following her fellowship in Cytopathology Dr. Clary stayed on as a faculty member for two years at Allegheny General Hospital. She joined the staff of Rochester General Hospital in 2003 and was appointed Director of Cytopathology in 2009. Dr. Clary is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester. Her areas of interest include cytopathology, breast, gynecologic, thyroid and pulmonary pathology. She also serves as the Department liaison to the Departments of Ob-Gyn and Endocrinology and as the pathology coding resource for Laboratory Billing & Compliance. Dr. Clary frequently presents at multidisciplinary patient care conferences and serves on the teaching faculty for the RGH Clinical Laboratory Technology Program and for rotating URMC Pathology Residents and Cytopathology Fellows. Dr. Clary served on the American Society of Cytopathology Cyto-econference Committee (2013-2016) and served on the College of American Pathologists …Cytopathology Committee (2004-2010).
