Considering a change

I have been going to Dr. Giardino for a few months now and can not understand the bad reviews. Every time I have gone the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am feeling so much better. I highly recommend this practice.

Worst front desk ever. The experience made even worse by office manager Diane. Do not waste your time, unfortunately I’ll never be able to tell you if Dr Giardino is good bc of her horribly rude, don’t care if you die, don’t care if you have insurance that refers you to them, pretty much don’t care seems to be the theme here... staff. I’m so hurt and appalled at how I was treated I wasn’t even allowed to finish a sentence (me- “can I please finish my sentence? You keep interrupting.” Diane- no let me finish it for you...”)

During my pregnancy, my OB found that my thyroid was a bit off and recommended Giardino's office for treatment. Went a couple times - visit was fine. Then, also during pregnancy, they find that I'm borderline Gestational Diabetes where I was referred do a different endocrinologist. Assuming both doctors just specialized in different things, I thought nothing of it and came to terms with the fact that I'd be seeing two different specialist for each issue. Well, I receive a LETTER in the mail from Giardino's office a week later, stating that they have terminated me as a patient. I call the next business day I call and speak to the office manager who tells me that since I am seeing another endocrinologist, that they can no longer treat me. I was absolutely horrified at how this woman spoke to me - she has no business working with patients. I could also go on about their billing. First thing they say when I walk in is that I owe money, but they can never explain what it's for and why they… never billed me. Always making mistakes. Staff is unprofessional and not friendly. I will say, the one woman who I believe specializes in diabetes that I saw a few times was absolutely wonderful (forgot her name) - thorough, listened to my questions, actually seemed to care about her patients' well-being - but that's about the only good thing I can say.

As a new patient I was told wrong appt.time,so when I got to office I was then told O would have to pay $200.00 fee for no show,even though I was there for time that was given to me.office manager is rude and would not even look at my paperwork that was mailed to me with time on it.

My appointment was cancelled while I was right there because of a five dollar balance which they didn't let me know about on my previous visit and I paid the copay of thirty dollars and thought I was all set. Guess not. Five turned into fifty plus thirty. I only had thirty on me. Being disabled, 73 and on a tight budget with no extra funds, I have to save up for copays. The office person was rude and unwilling to even help resolve. I wasn't feeling well and tried to reason with her and she threatened me with the Sherrif. A few minutes prior she ran off another long term patient that I saw was very upset. Wondered what is going on here. I have never been treated so rudely in all my years. However I did like the PA Peggy. She was always very nice. Only met the Doctor once in the two or so years have been going there. I was perfectly willing to pay my current copay plus the five dollars but was denied my visit with the PA. It is a fifty mile trip one-way for nothing but grief and uncalled… for stress for something that could have been resolved peacefully. The person has no people skills, empathy, or kindness to be working with sick people. Sorry she got so many people upset.

A recent strew of reviews on google and several review sites have all been written by the Dr herself (pasta queen?) c'mon! and her staff/staff significant others in an attempt to counteract the horrible and TRUE things that are being said about this office. work here at your own risk. become a patient here at your own risk. if you enjoy being discarded and treated like a sub human this is most definitely the right place for you.

Dr. G has changed my life, she is the best. The previous posts that I read sound like anger post. Obviously someone didn't get what they wanted or had to actually pay their bill (imagine that) most places do require payments. The staff is friendly and very helpful. So glad they got rid of the girl that use to check you in, she was horrible. The manager they have now has really changed things for the better. Highly recommend Dr. G and the other providers there.

Dr Giardino is highly recommended in the area but the problem is she's not available. You will only see the PA. They do not disclose blood work and try to push unnecessary medications. Very rushed and impersonal experience

The top comments on other sites have all been written by either the doctor, her office manager, or their close friends do NOT believe the good reviews . Any Dr. Who has to have friends or employees write good reviews is no doctor I want anyone I know to be treated by, this office is a money Mill you rarely see the doctor herself at all issue get passed of too the RN(HER SISTER) . THEY WANT YOUR MONEY plain a and simple
