Dr. Karen Diane Grande, MD

I have treated with Dr Grande many times. I have the highest level of confidence in her. I was never uncomfortable in her care.

I had the priveledge of seeing this woman while I was admitted to the newport hospital after 9 days of vomiting. Upon admittance, she ran through a list of questions regarding my medical history. Immediately upon hearing that I take pain medications frequently, she "diagnosed" me as going through withdrawal. I wasnt able to tolerate a sip of water, as she began pushing her suboxone clinic on me. When I asked for pain and nausea medicines, she ordered that I should take a vicodin orally. Heres the best part, I ripped the iv out and left the hospital immediately because I had vicodin and stronger pain meds at home. I went home feeling like a drug addict scumbag and threw up for another two days straight before I went to ri hospital. I spent ten days there vomiting profusely, with or without narcotic pain meds. Its now going on 45 days of throwing up everytime I eat. This woman uses the newport hospital to push her own agendas and I think any reasonable doctor would wait for tests… before making a diagnosis. Ive never wanted to sue a physician before....but id let any lawyer take all the awarded money just to see this woman lose her license. She degraded me and caused me to go home thinking im some drug addictwhen I clearly have something seriously wrong. Thanks Dr Grande, I appreciate your total lack of intellectual diagnosis

If your issue is re: Suboxone therapy my experience with Dr. Grande is that she is inexperienced, lacks knowledge in writing appropriate scripts, is unable to guide patients wanting to d/c Suboxone, and is sensitive to being questioned about her services...or lack of ability to provide answers.

Doesn't read patients chart; doesn't touch the patient; spends less than 3 minutes with seriously I'll patients; lacks common sense and good judgement; can not communicate

This Dr "specializes" in Internal Medicine. Although she does not have any prior education or experience in the field of Addiction Medicine she randomly prescribes a medication useful in the treatment of recovering addicts. My questions to her about her knowledge of this medication were not answered in a medical or satisfactory manner.
