Karen Hashemi, CNM, was drawn to midwifery because she wanted the opportunity to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with patients than she was able to as a labor nurse working 12-hour shifts. Midwifery allows Karen to support individuals throughout pregnancy, provide continuity of care, and truly get to know each person she serves.
Karen Hashemi, CNM, emphasizes shared decision-making, clear communication, and respect for each person's preferences and values. She believes patients should be active partners in their own care. Karen provides compassionate, personalized support across the full spectrum of women's health, including annual well-person exams, pregnancy prevention counseling, prenatal, labor, and postpartum care, perimenopause and menopause care, gynecologic care, STI screening and treatment, cervical cancer screening, weight loss management, IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal, vulvar and endometrial biopsies, first trimester ultrasound, and repair of …lacerations following birth.
