I’m shocked she still has her license - if you’re considering this doctor please do your research.

Would not recommend, received wrong diagnosis. Not thorough care.

I have had the absolute worst experience with Dr. Hendershott and her staff at Arizona Oncology. My surgery was scheduled for yesterday, I got to the hospital only to find out from the hospital staff, not Dr. Hendershott staff that the surgery would be cancelled because Dr. Hendershott’s staff did not complete the pending request to authorize and get it fully approved by insurance. Mind you when her scheduler Marlene called me the week before she exclaimed “I got your surgery approved”. I left the hospital, repeatedly called Dr. Hendershotts office, emailed and messaged through the portal. Nobody responded nor did they contact me. I had to show up at the office to which I received a lot of inconsistencies regarding what happened, zero apologies and eceb smirks from Marlene get scheduler who dropped the ball. I have still yet to get the surgery rescheduled. This office and the entire staff could care less about the patients. I have had to uproot my life, my work schedule to do… this surgery. They simply can’t be bothered to pick up the phone to reschedule or figure something out when it’s 100% their fault. A woman dux call me yesterday with the audacity to say there was miscommunication on both end but we've asked Marlene to confirm the surgery appointments from here on out. I recommend going to one of the other qualified surgeons here in town who’s staff is capable of simple tasks and actually care about the patient.

When you are body slammed with a cancer diagnosis, you want someone to take your hand, plan a course of action and tell you everything will be okay. Dr. Hendershott does exactly that with the same compassion you'd feel if you were talking to your best friend. She spent almost an hour with my husband and me explaining the meaning of all the confusing reports, drawing diagrams, making predictions, and outlining a plan of action. Leaving her office, I knew I was in good hands. Her skill as a surgeon was confirmed when I removed the bandages from my partial mastectomy. Except for a little bruise and a few steri-strips, no one would know I'd even had surgery. Everything looked the way it had before the operation. I saw her initials on my chest, inked there to make sure there would be no mix-ups in the operating room, and smiled. Just as any artist would, those initials, to me, were a sign of a surgical masterpiece.

The staff at the Voorhees clinic is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. Totally inept and unprofessional.
