We all look, and hope, for competence in our doctors. Dr. Karen Klugo's competence was without question for me when Dr. David Tucker entrusted his practice to her, that is, if he trusted her, I knew I could. I have come to experience her as not only competent, but brilliant in the many years she has been my Ophthalmologist. While we count on competence, we also hope for kindness. Dr. Klugo's concern for me as a person is palpable. While it might be a challenge to get some of my doctors to send a report to my primary care physician, this is only one of the many ways Dr. Klugo expresses her care. It is reassuring, particularly during this time of crisis in health care, to have a physician take precious time to "take care" of me above and beyond what might be normally expected. While we hope for competence and kindness in our doctors, humor is a quality that we can only enjoy! Dr. Klugo has a great wit, making the time spent waiting for the pupils to dilate feel well worth it! … Recently she performed cataract surgery on my husband's two eyes. He and I are both so grateful for the quality of care he received and for the remarkable improvement in his vision. We both feel that our family could not receive better care than we do from Dr. Klugo. In addition, her staff is exceedingly professional, efficient and express the caring Dr. Klugo's models. We also appreciate the fine optometry care we get through her practice.
