Dr. Karen Sue Koby-Olson, MD

Dr. Koby-Olson treated my daughter over 20 years ago & was the first doctor who listened to my concerns about my daughter. She referred her to a specialist & got her a proper diagnosis. She always respected my concerns & never treated me like an idiot like so many other doctors did. One doctor actually told us our daughter turned blue because she was a blonde...after completing his exam of only listening to her heart & lungs laying down & sitting up. I looked very young at the time and, as a result, doctors spoke very condescendingly to me. When Grayling hospital wanted to admit her one time, Dr. Koby-Olson informed them that I knew how to manage her asthma & would bring her back if needed. She trusted my instincts as a mother...they did not, they did not want to release her. She was the first doctor who I did not have to spell her birth defect for & tell them what it was & she did not treat me like an imbecile!! My daughter used to get sick very quickly & I was never refused an… emergency visit to her office nor did she get upset if called at home. I was so frustrated with not knowing what was wrong with my baby when I finally found Dr. Koby-Olson. (A friend of my parents confided in me when she was grown that a couple of times, he was really worried that we would lose her.) I cannot praise Dr. Koby enough!! I would highly recommend her!!! Thank you so much, Dr. Koby-Olson for your devotion to your profession!! And for your respect to me by not treating me like a moron.
