Dr. Karen L Larson, MD

Dr Karen Larson was great in the beginning. My family were amazed by her great bedside manner. Very kind. But when I started going in more often due to stomach issues and body pain, she wrote me plenty of opioid prescriptions. Which I really hated. The meds made my intestinal issues worse. I was told to take Miramax and that would fix it. Without going into detail, I developed diverticulitis and blockage. I was sick for a year. In 2009 on New Years eve, I went to doctor again. Dr Larson was booked up, so they let me see Lucy a nurse there. I had a low temp, she listened to me and ordered a Ctscan that day. I was very sick..so it came out I had 2 abscesses and blockage. I went into Lutheran for pic line, followed with 2 surgeries, a colostomy, I was in hospital 3 weeks, had a peritinitis infection. I almost died.The nurses at Lutheran hospital were all wonderful. So, I went to see Lucy after I got out and she was happy I was doing better. Dr Larson stopped me in the hall, said, oh I… heard you were so sick! I said yes, Lucy took care, listened and made sure I got tested. That was last time I went there. But Lucy left that office and they wouldn't tell me where, so I could follow her. Hello to Lucy and thank you. We were very disappointed in Dr Larsons negligence to me. Hope she's learned to listen to patients. Now 2018, doing good. DDW

She is absolutely the best Dr. I have ever seen and should she not know the answer, she will say, I believe this but I will research and get back to you. Dr Karen is wonderful! I can't say enough about her.

I am a patient of Dr. Larson's and also a clinic nurse. A "Meet and Greet" is done by all the physicians in our clinic prior to a patient being treated. It is considered good medical practice, not a waste of time. If you feel your issue requires immediate attention, I would recommend an urgent care facility or the ER.

If you are a new patient, and need to be seen right away, be prepared to have to waste your time at a new patient "Meet and Greet" appointment. Dr. Larson refused to skip the all important "Meet and Greet", so that I could get treatment first. I was told I had to make another appointment the following week, in order to get help and treatment.

Dr. Karen was the best, very personable and knowledgeble. She really cares about here patients.

I did an extensive search finding a new family physician and I could not be more satisfied with Dr Larson.She is very knowledgable and current, ensures that you understand, and truly partners with you to find the best solutions and answers. She really listens to your concerns and how your health is affecting you.
