Dr. Karen Margaret Loomans, MD

She listens and tries to understand how we feel abut our health.

I'm not sure why I have a regular doctor since I never get to see her when I need to. Physicals book out half a year. When you get sick or something happens when you need to see your doctor that day, forget it. You're sent to urgent care, which costs more and you have to wait.

If you attempt to contact Dr. Loomans outside of an appointment, you get her triage nurse, Heidi. She is of no help, is argumentative, and you can't get to the doctor to get your questions answered. While I do like the doctor, and really like the clinic, I am considering changing doctors since I cannot get the help I need (even while in hospital) because of this gatekeeper.

Being under Dr. Loomans care is basically having no care at all. She doesn't get you in when you're sick - ever - and has her bulldog nursing staff advise you to go to urgent care instead - even on a weekday morning! She has too many patients so can't care for the ones she has. I was misdiagnosed with her on a few occasions and feel she is frankly, dangerously inept at her job. Much of this is due to the medical facility she works at, not having a good overall system for handling their patients from appointment time to follow-up care. Communication among staff across the board is poor at best. Go somewhere else to get good medical care.
