Dr. Karen Louise Lucas, MD

I have never been treated worse by anyone in the medical field than Dr. Lucas. When I was a young women(18 years old) she was my first gynecologist and completely ruined my experience to the point were I still am nervous to see a gynecologist. She was so terribly rude to me and forced my mother to leave the room after I had told her repeatedly that I felt more comfortable with her in the room. Worst experience with a doctor in my entire life.

My daughter has been having problems and she is 27 weeks pregnant and has been sick and she called the on call doctor and it was Dr.Lucas and she was so rude to her about everything I wouldn’t let my cat go to her

I have been seeing Dr Lucas for several years and am very happy with her. She is very compassionate and has always made time for me. I'll soon be having a hysterectomy and hope she will be the one doing it!

The bedside manner is that of a particle of dust, meaning that she floats in and out during conversation, and while actually in a visit with patients. In the winter of 2012 (feb) I was having problems and knew that it was the Mirena she had placed 2 years prior. I know my body well enough to know that was the issue of all of my problems. She basically told me (infront of my husband) that I was CRAZY and there was NO WAY that ANY of this had to do with the MIRENA and that everything that was happening was in my head. Basically calling me a liar/hypochondriac. Long story short, my GP was keeping track of all of the issues I was having and sent me to a specialist. My Mirena had to be cut out of me. Given my medical history (with female issues) I NEVER should have had the Mirena in the first place. Dr. Lucas had ALL of this information. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy!

Professional, kind with a sense of humor. I see her yearly.
