Dr. Karen Patrice Pickett, MD

I love dr Pickett and she was my ob/gyn at UAMS 28 hrs ago when she delivered my daughter in 1991 completing her residency. I found her office by driving down hwy 5 one day and turned around to see it was her. I have been coming to her for few yrs now for everything. Excellent referrals, very knowledgeable and understanding, just overall love her. Only problem I have had is I know the policy of hrs of operation. 11:30 is cutoff time for them to go to lunch at noon and return at 1:00. I drive 45 min one way to get here and arrived at 11:15 for receptionist to tell me “sorry lisa but you will have to come bk after 1:00”. Pretty aggravated b/c I’m an adult and talk to me like I am one and was rude about it all. She didn’t bother telling me to come bk a little b4 1:00 to be seen b4 anyone else so when I did come bk and had to wait for two ppl to go ahead of me. 3 1/2 hrs including drive time one way is a bit much especially when I have to pick my child up from school 45 min away. There’s a… proper way to handle situations such as this as the receptionist handled it very unprofessional. Of course anybody can be sweet but when it comes to her being 1st impression of the whole office, a few minor adjustments could take place.

Dr. Pickett is very caring and listens to all of your concerns. She does not over medicate or over prescribe treatments that are not needed. She's very easy to talk to. I love that she only takes walk-ins so if you need to see her a certain day, you can!

I am a new patient seeing Dr. Pickett, and my first experience with her was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Pickett took the time to really listen and to address all of my concerns. She was helpful in scheduling appointments with specialists. Her staff were very kind and professional. Her office accepts walk-ins, and I visited in the afternoon and had a very short wait time. I've heard wait times in the morning are longer.

Excellent service, great bedside manor, listens to your concerns and thoughtfully gives you her recommendation. I always leave her office feeling like she really knows me and is concerned about me!!

Horrible noncaring

Great Staff and Doctor

Dr pickets office said I had seen a doctor for meds I had never seen before so I called that office confirmed I had never been there and they called picket to confirm and she still called me a liar and asked me to leave. Dr pickets office is walk in only so expect to wait along time

The staff seems a little put off, could be a little friendlier, smile a little more. Some of us dont like going to a Dr. in the first place

I am a nurse and very particular with my physicians. I am very impressed with the care at Dr. Pickett's office. Although the wait time can be lengthy she is very thorough with her care, which is the most important when you are ill.

She doesn't spend very much time with you when you go. She's in and out in 5 min.
